DB2 DBA – L3 Support

We are seeking experienced DB2 Database Administrators (DBAs) for L3 support roles in India. These full-time positions are based in Chennai and Hyderabad and offer the opportunity to contribute to critical database environments.

Positions Available

  • Junior/Mid-Level DB2 DBA: 1 position, requiring 3–5 years of experience.
  • Lead DB2 DBA: 1 position, requiring 5+ years of experience.

Required Skills and Experience

To succeed in these roles, candidates should have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Mainframe DB2 on z/OS.
  • Experience with IBM DB2 V13 for z/OS and IMS DB.
  • In-depth knowledge of DB2 performance tuning, including:
    • SQL query optimization
    • Index management
    • Workload management
    • DB2 Performance Monitor
    • BMC APPTUNE
  • Hands-on experience with DB2 and BMC utilities, such as:
    • REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, LOAD, and UNLOAD
    • MODIFY, CHECK, RECOVER, and REBUILD
    • BIND/REBIND
  • Experience with IBM DB2 and BMC tools, including:
    • Catalog Manager
    • Change Manager
    • Log Master
    • APPTUNE
    • MainView
  • Experience with DB2 Data Sharing and Parallel Sysplex environments.
  • Proven experience supporting highly critical databases across multiple environments.
  • Experience in database maintenance, data movement, performance tuning, and production support.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Role Expectations
