About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to build and maintain the pipelines, systems, and datasets that power our analytics, applications, and machine-learning work. You will turn raw data from many sources into clean, reliable, well-structured data that teams across the organization can trust and use. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys writing robust code, solving performance problems, and making data flow smoothly and dependably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from internal and external sources.
  • Develop and optimize data models and transformations that serve analytics, reporting, and product needs.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and freshness through validation, testing, and monitoring.
  • Build and manage integrations with databases, APIs, files, and streaming sources.
  • Optimize queries, storage, and pipeline performance for speed and cost efficiency.
  • Implement logging, alerting, and observability so data issues are caught early.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and data scientists to deliver the datasets and infrastructure they need.
  • Document pipelines, data flows, and datasets so they are easy to understand and maintain.
  • Apply data security and privacy practices in line with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of tooling, standards, and engineering practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a closely related role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (or a comparable language) and strong command of SQL.
  • Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) or data lakes.
  • Experience with pipeline/orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and relational database design.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and its core data services.
  • Comfort with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
