Role overview

We are seeking a General Manager to oversee administration and commercial matters for a continuous-process plant in Naidupeta. The role is not directly responsible for technical work and involves a broad range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and liaise between the plant and head office.
• Manage general administration and office operations at the plant, collaborating with line managers as needed.
• Liaise with external government bodies, including land, excise, pollution, factory, and sales tax departments.
• Oversee statutory and compliance requirements.
• Manage commercial negotiations, contracts, and vendors, and oversee on-site work, including new process implementation.
• Audit plant purchase and expense records weekly.

Qualifications and requirements

• 15–20 years of experience managing administration at a continuous-process factory.
• A degree in Industrial Relations, Operations Management, or a technical field related to chemical manufacturing may be suitable.
• Experience in plant administration or facilities management in a continuous-process industry is preferred.
• Fluency in Hindi is mandatory.
• Outstation candidates must be willing to relocate to Naidupeta with their family if selected.

Candidates from very large organizations may find that the role's broad responsibilities do not align with their previous experience.
