Field Service Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment Installation and Start-Up

About the Role

You will work with a leading Japanese semiconductor manufacturing company. The team is expected to grow to approximately 50 members.

• Start up semiconductor manufacturing machines and equipment at local factories.
• Maintain and manage semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Adjust and assemble semiconductor devices.
• Travel domestically and internationally for approximately 70%–80% of the role.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to report, consult, and communicate consistently.
• Ability to understand customer and team-member requirements and work well with others.
• Interest in working with and adjusting machines, and a serious approach to work.
• Comfort standing for extended periods in a clean room.
• Ability to take business trips lasting approximately 1.5–3 months at a time.
• Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N3 level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience installing semiconductor manufacturing equipment, LCD manufacturing equipment, or medical devices.
• Experience working in a clean room.
• Familiarity with safety standards in the semiconductor equipment industry.
• Strong communication skills when working with global teams or stakeholders.
