About the Role

Our client is a leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer. In this role, you will:

  • Perform maintenance, replace parts, and adjust semiconductor equipment installed in semiconductor fabs (cleanrooms) in Japan and overseas. Domestic and international travel is required.
  • Review modification specifications and maintain work procedures.
  • Support the start-up of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including etching equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience as a field service engineer for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, preferably dry etching equipment. The experience requirement is inconsistent: the posting lists both 6–10 years and a minimum of 1 to 5+ years. Please clarify the applicable requirement.
  • Technical knowledge in an engineering-related field such as electrical or mechanical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or vacuum technology.
  • Knowledge of plasma physics and vacuum technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a field service engineer for semiconductor or LCD manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations relevant to the semiconductor equipment industry.
