Jr. Estimation Engineer - Sharjah, UAE

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimation Engineer to join our team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing mechanical equipment drawings, performing quantity take-offs, and preparing cost estimations to support proposal preparation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Review and understand mechanical equipment drawings and layouts for water treatment systems (e.g., pump stations, flanges, filtration units, piping & valve arrangements).
• Perform material and quantity take-offs from approved drawings and technical specifications using AutoCAD/PDF documents.
• Prepare cost estimations and Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and assist in proposal preparation.
• Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to verify material requirements.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial estimation documents.
• Update and maintain cost databases, supplier quotations, and estimation templates.
• Ensure all estimation work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within deadlines.
• Be available for urgent tasks as instructed by the team lead.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in BOQ preparation with a strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings relevant to the water treatment industry.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment used in water treatment (e.g., flanges, pumps).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with good communication and coordination skills.
• AutoCAD skills are considered a plus.
