RonInfoTech Solutions is seeking a CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic for a client in Franklin, MA (02038). This is a full-time contract position for 5-6 months, with potential for extension.

About the Role

As a CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of CNC machining equipment, including 5-axis milling machines, EDMs, Laser-Swiss, CNC lathes, motion control systems, ovens, and stamping machines. Your duties will include:

  • Maintenance & Repair: Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC electro-mechanical control systems down to the component level, documenting work performed, and identifying root causes.
  • Predictive Monitoring: Utilizing real-time data (servo load, temperature, vibration, acoustics) to detect machine abnormalities, enhance predictive maintenance, and minimize breakdowns.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with engineering to resolve complex issues and suggest improvements for preventive maintenance procedures and machine design.
  • Compliance: Adhering to FDA quality system regulations, ISO13485, ISO9001, and ISO14001 standards.
  • Additional Duties: Performing tank cleanouts, light TPM repairs, and supporting facility emergencies as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3–5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting CNC machine shop equipment.
  • The ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and performance specifications.
  • Hands-on experience programming and operating CNC equipment to verify repairs.
  • Proficiency with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, and Mazatrol CNC controllers.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC and servo drive hardware/software.
  • Preferred experience with multiple CNC manufacturers (e.g., Mazak, KERN, Tsugami, EuroTech, Rofin, Fanuc EDM, Maier, Citizen).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to write detailed repair reports.
  • Experience with forklift operation and the use of power/hand tools.
  • An Associate's degree or technical certification in advanced manufacturing is preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and meet attendance requirements.
  • A strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and professional collaboration.
