Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. This role requires travel from Tulsa to commercial and industrial job sites throughout the United States. Candidates ideally live in Oklahoma, Arkansas—preferably Bentonville—or Wichita, Kansas.

Position Summary

The Construction Foreman leads field crews in the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of concrete foundations, slabs, paving, structural concrete, and other commercial or industrial concrete projects. The Foreman plans daily activities, coordinates labor, equipment, and materials, and ensures projects are completed on schedule while meeting company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead concrete crews on commercial construction projects.
  • Plan and organize daily work assignments to maximize productivity.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project drawings.
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure proper site layout, elevations, grades, and formwork before concrete placement.
  • Direct forming, reinforcing steel installation, concrete placement, finishing, curing, and stripping operations.
  • Monitor workmanship for compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Schedule the labor, equipment, and materials required to complete assigned work.
  • Maintain daily reports covering manpower, production, equipment usage, and safety observations.
  • Identify and resolve field issues before they affect project schedules.
  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members.
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and job hazard analyses.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and used properly.
  • Assist with project planning and sequencing to meet production goals.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of commercial concrete construction experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading concrete crews.
  • Strong knowledge of formwork systems, reinforcing steel placement, concrete placement and finishing, site layout and grading, concrete curing procedures, and commercial construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Experience with tilt-wall, structural concrete, paving, or large commercial slabs.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers, and similar construction equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Work extended hours, weekends, and overtime as needed.
