Overview

Join a long-tail claims consulting practice focused on complex liability challenges, including mass tort, toxic tort, environmental and pollution claims, asbestos, sexual assault, concussion, insurance archaeology, policy analysis, allocation modeling, insurer negotiations, and claims and payment tracking.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial recoveries from carriers on behalf of clients by presenting coverage arguments and negotiating resolutions.
• Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with client goals.
• Maximize insurance recoveries for mass tort and complex claims through strategic planning and technology-enabled processes.
• Provide expert analysis and recommendations on complex insurance coverage matters.
• Manage insurer communications, including notices, tenders, coverage position letters, and information requests.
• Review policy documents to identify key provisions for policy management systems and coverage charts.
• Conduct insurance archaeology research and legacy policy searches.
• Evaluate cost-share agreements and buyout offers to protect client interests.
• Negotiate insurance coverage and loss-allocation resolutions with adjusters.
• Lead client needs analyses, develop project plans, and recommend effective approaches.
• Create high-quality client deliverables and identify opportunities to expand client engagements.
• Build and maintain trusted client and business relationships.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with company policies for timekeeping, expenses, and billing.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of relevant experience evaluating and negotiating coverage for multi-year claims at an insurer, insurance archaeology firm, and/or law firm.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Deep expertise in long-tail claims and emerging coverage issues.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
