Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused cashier to handle customer transactions, process payments, and provide excellent service. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, communicate well, and handle cash and electronic payments accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Process cash, credit and debit card, mobile, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and change according to company procedures.
- Verify prices, discounts, promotions, and customer purchases.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and report discrepancies as required.
- Assist customers with basic questions about products, prices, and store policies.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Follow company procedures for cash handling, security, and loss prevention.
- Assist with stocking shelves and other store duties as needed.
- Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and customer service standards.
