Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Municipal Engineer for its office in Wayne, New Jersey. The role focuses on municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, utilities, and other public-sector improvements. Candidates should have at least 3 years of civil or municipal engineering experience, strong hands-on design ability, and experience supporting projects from design through construction. An active Professional Engineer license is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and related public improvements.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation; support permitting and regulatory submissions.
• Support municipal projects from planning and design through construction, and manage technical workstreams across multiple active projects.
• Provide construction support, including shop drawing review, contractor questions, RFIs, field conditions, and construction administration.
• Coordinate with municipal clients, agencies, consultants, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• 3+ years of civil or municipal engineering experience and hands-on municipal infrastructure design experience.
• Experience preparing engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for roadway, drainage, utility, or similar public infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work in person at the Wayne, New Jersey, office and manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Technical experience may include AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Revit, Bluebeam, Mathcad, engineering calculations, and construction documentation.
