About the Role

Achieve is seeking a dedicated, experienced Retention Specialist to join its Customer Success Team. This role focuses on enhancing customer experience and satisfaction, applying retention strategies, and contributing to revenue growth. Responsibilities include outbound calls, resolving customer issues, collecting payments, and retaining customers.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to retain customers and collect payments over the phone.
  • Resolve customer concerns by asking questions and identifying why customers may leave the program.
  • Address objections and retain customers using approved responses and solutions.
  • Use negotiation skills to meet productivity objectives.
  • Research and recommend company products and offers suited to customers.
  • Build customer loyalty through friendly, professional, and accurate communication.
  • Meet retention targets and follow department policies and schedule requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor electronic customer data.
  • Assist with administrative duties and departmental projects.

Requirements

  • Motivation to earn an hourly rate plus commission.
  • Fluent spoken and written English and excellent phone etiquette.
  • Professional sales or retention experience; experience in a call center, collections, or related roles is valued.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity, judgment, and the ability to communicate with diverse individuals.
  • Experience handling difficult or irate customers.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Comfort using Google Suite, accurate data-entry skills, and basic math proficiency.

Job Details

  • Employment: Full-time
  • Schedule: Flexible weekday shifts between 10 AM and 8 PM Eastern. Listed availability also includes Monday through Friday, 12 PM–8 PM Eastern.
  • Work arrangement: 100% remote, home-based outside the United States.
  • Compensation: $7 per hour plus commission.
