Project Manager – Ecological Restoration (Environmental Engineering)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in ecological restoration to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This role is responsible for delivering assigned project objectives, including scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing streams, wetlands, and other natural habitats and ecosystems; strong relationships with regional clients; and the ability to manage technical staff and grow business throughout Florida and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor schedules, budgets, accounts receivable, and staffing requirements; prepare invoices.
• Develop project management plans, pricing, budgets, and schedules for assigned projects.
• Perform stream and wetland assessments and designs, including wetland and forest stand delineation and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using TR-55/TR-20, the Rational Method, and HEC-RAS.
• Manage subconsultants, technical resources, and assigned project staff.
• Participate in client presentations, community engagement, and landowner interactions; develop extra work orders and task proposals for open-end contracts.
• Coordinate with Section Heads, Office Leaders, and Market Line Leaders on marketing proposals and business development.
• Oversee construction management activities and coordinate joint permit applications.

Qualifications

• Skills: Stream and wetland assessment and design; hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using TR-55/TR-20, the Rational Method, and HEC-RAS; AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation; GIS (ArcMap); surveying, including laser-level use and sediment sampling; erosion and sediment control design; and project management.
• Education and credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited program; Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida; and Rosgen Level 4 Certification or similar river-course accreditation.
• Additional qualifications: Strong client relationship management, leadership and mentoring skills, effective communication, willingness to travel, and a collaborative approach to business development.
