Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within our Power Plant and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical equipment, preventive maintenance practices, and a commitment to ensuring the reliable and safe operation of critical plant infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain electrical panels, motors, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), transformers, and switchgear.
  • Conduct routine preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults to minimize plant downtime and ensure continuous operations.
  • Support the operation of essential ETP auxiliaries, including pumps, blowers, and dosing systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards, regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Accurately record all maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment status.
  • Collaborate with other utility and production teams during operations and emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of electrical systems (transformers, motors, MCCs, switchgear, panels).
    • Proficiency in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
    • Awareness of electrical safety standards, permits, PPE, and compliance.
    • Familiarity with Power Plant and ETP electrical auxiliaries (pumps, blowers, dosing systems).
    • Ability to adapt and learn new electrical systems and control setups.
  • Education:
    • Technical degree or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Attributes:
    • Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
    • Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Proactive problem-solver with a willingness to learn.
    • Adaptable and able to respond effectively to operational needs and emergencies.
