Overview

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician II to support a stable manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, integrity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Schedule

  • Weekend nights: Friday–Sunday, 4:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m.
  • Shift differential: $6.50 per hour

Compensation

  • Hourly rate commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Sign-on bonus: $5,000 upon successful hiring

Responsibilities

  • Design minor electrical circuits and test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used to control machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment using schematics and blueprints.
  • Work with electrical power and water-distribution systems.
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs.
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical components, including brushes and armatures.
  • Install and monitor electrical equipment for hazards, required adjustments, and replacement needs.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, panels, breakers, conduit, and new services.
  • Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and complete circuits according to diagrams.
  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
  • Perform duties as directed by the Group Leader and, as appropriate, direct the work of employees in lower classifications.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from a two-year program required.
  • Two to four years of relevant work experience required.
  • Ability to use a computer to search for parts and enter work orders into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform work requiring sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, and bending.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment physical, including a baseline test requiring lifting at least 50 pounds.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
