Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical and low-voltage construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for electrical systems using on-screen takeoff software.
• Maintain takeoff data in estimating software and keep project documentation organized and accurate.
• Solicit, evaluate, and manage vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Collaborate with internal teams on competitive project proposals.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
• Manage multiple estimates and projects, meeting deadlines and budget objectives.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors.

Requirements

• 6+ years of estimating experience, preferably in electrical construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and low-voltage systems.
• Experience with detailed quantity takeoffs and computerized estimating software.
• Strong mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and vendor/subcontractor quotation management skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.
