Human Resource Practitioner

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Practitioner to join our team. This role is responsible for a wide range of HR functions, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating onboarding.
  • Address employee relations issues, mediating grievances and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Administer performance management systems and support the performance review cycle.
  • Oversee payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct salary surveys and participate in remuneration benchmarking.
  • Ensure strict compliance with South African labour legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Labour Relations Act (LRA), Employment Equity Act (EEA), Skills Development Act (SDA), and the Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council (MEIBC) Main Agreement.
  • Generate comprehensive HR reports and maintain meticulous employee records.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Proven experience in payroll administration.
  • Experience conducting salary surveys and remuneration benchmarking.
  • In-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA & MEIBC).
  • Strong skills in HR reporting, administration, and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and HR metrics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the manufacturing, aviation, or engineering sectors is considered an advantage.
