Role Overview

Lead audits across a complex IT environment, with a focus on cloud services, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IT governance, resiliency, operating systems, and technology platforms. This leadership role is responsible for audit planning, execution, reporting, risk assessment, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee complex IT audits covering AI, cybersecurity, resiliency, cloud infrastructure, and related technology environments.
• Identify technology risks, assess organizational impact, and adjust audit plans based on current and emerging risks.
• Participate in annual audit planning focused on top IT risk areas.
• Provide project management, direction, coaching, and work review for IT auditors.
• Conduct hands-on testing in complex, high-risk technical areas.
• Develop regular perspectives and insights on key risks, including AI, cybersecurity, and resiliency risks.
• Promote innovative audit approaches and meaningful audit insights.
• Serve as a technical subject-matter resource and mentor junior audit staff.
• Build relationships with business partners and provide internal audit guidance to managers and staff.
• Use data analytics, automation, and AI to enhance audit testing and support team members in building related capabilities.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least 8 years of experience in IT audit, IT risk management, or information security.
• Expert knowledge of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or cloud infrastructure technologies, such as AWS.
• Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience coaching, guiding, and providing feedback to audit staff.
• Strong critical-thinking, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience designing and implementing data visualizations.
• Proficiency with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, or Seaborn.
• Coding and data analytics experience using Python, including libraries or tools such as SciPy, NumPy, and/or PySpark.
• Experience using AI solutions to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency.
• Demonstrated experience auditing AI solutions and associated risks.
• Knowledge of agentic AI architectures and related risks.
• Curiosity and adaptability in responsibly applying emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT audit, IT risk management, or information security.
• At least 5 years of IT audit experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree or MBA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CEH, CRISC, or CISM.
