About the Role

We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer to oversee and maintain critical IT systems while providing technical support across multiple locations. This hands-on role is suited to an IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and supporting enterprise infrastructure and end users.

Travel requirement: Regular travel between the Midway and Tazewell, TN, locations is required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier II/III technical support for end users and oversee daily help desk operations.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and support high availability across multiple locations.
  • Support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, network switches, routers, firewalls, and virtualization technologies.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
  • Perform system updates, backups, disaster recovery procedures, and routine maintenance.
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to implement new technologies and improve IT operations.
  • Maintain compliance with company security standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or network administration.
  • Experience managing help desk operations.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel regularly between the Midway and Tazewell, TN, facilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
