About the Role

As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will be actively involved in daily construction activities, ensuring projects adhere to drawings, timelines, and established quality standards. This role demands practical site knowledge, strong coordination skills, and a proactive approach to managing on-site operations. Direct site execution experience is strongly preferred over purely design or office-based roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and execute daily site work, including RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, finishing, and other civil activities.
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings, establish site levels, and ensure construction aligns with approved plans.
  • Coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, masons, bar benders, carpenters, and vendors to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Monitor material usage, verify quantities, support material reconciliation, and assist with measurement sheets and contractor billing.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on workmanship, identify, and resolve site issues promptly.
  • Maintain daily progress reports and ensure timely completion of work while adhering to safety standards.
  • Liaise with site teams and report progress to senior engineers or project managers.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in executing residential and commercial building projects, with proven experience on building construction projects in Pune or surrounding areas.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Proficiency in building construction methods, site execution practices, and RCC work.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and perform site measurements.
    • Strong coordination skills with diverse teams.
    • Experience in maintaining essential project documentation.
    • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • A practical approach to addressing site challenges.
    • Familiarity with billing, estimation, quantity checking, and quality control is advantageous.
