- At least 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical and psychological assessments of clients and develop or follow treatment plans.
- Assess clients’ home and work environments and determine what adjustments are needed.
- Recommend adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
- Develop physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
- Prepare clients for a return to work.
- Educate caregivers and family members about patient care.
- Evaluate clients’ progress with occupational therapy.
- Maintain professional knowledge and stay current with technical developments to provide appropriate treatment.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local certification requirements.
- Evaluate patients’ physical condition and basic mental health.
