Overview

A local healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist for a leadership opportunity. The successful candidate will help develop and lead a growing orthopedic and regenerative rehabilitation program while providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

This privately owned, patient-focused practice offers extended, one-on-one treatment sessions in a cash-based environment. The role is suited to a clinician passionate about orthopedics, active individuals, regenerative rehabilitation, and building a specialty program from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the orthopedic and regenerative rehabilitation service line.
  • Evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based orthopedic techniques, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and return-to-activity programming.
  • Establish clinical protocols and best practices for regenerative therapies, including shockwave treatment.
  • Contribute to future program growth and service-line development.
  • Mentor support staff and collaborate with the clinical team to promote exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Build community relationships through educational events, networking, and referral development.
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation with minimal administrative burden.

Opportunity Highlights

  • One-on-one patient care with approximately 7–8 patients per day.
  • Cash-based practice focused on clinical excellence rather than insurance requirements.
  • Opportunity to shape and grow a specialized service line.
  • Collaborative team that values professional development and mentorship.
  • Competitive base salary depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses tied to practice growth and patient retention.
  • Flexible full-time schedule designed to support work-life balance.

Preferred Candidate

  • Strong orthopedic background and interest in treating active adults.
  • Willingness to take ownership of a program and create lasting impact.
  • Interest in regenerative therapies and emerging treatment technologies.
  • Enjoyment of leadership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Motivation for professional growth and service-line development.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
  • Current Iowa physical therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Experience treating orthopedic conditions, including return-to-activity or return-to-sport rehabilitation.
  • Interest in regenerative therapies such as shockwave treatment; training will be provided.

Schedule

Full-time preferred, four to five days per week. Some flexibility is available for the right candidate, with occasional evening or weekend community events.
