About the Role

codeCampus is hiring and training a Lead Instructor in the El Cerrito area for the school year starting September 2026. The instructor will lead classroom STEAM projects and activities using the organization's proprietary curriculum, teaching students from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade.

Responsibilities

• Work with staff at partner schools.
• Lead STEAM projects and activities for students.
• Build trusting, respectful relationships with students and parents.
• Create a safe environment for students.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Availability

• Experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to complete the professional development training program.
• Available to begin paid training and instruction immediately, and to work through the current school year and beyond.
• Available Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., on the listed school-year dates.

No coding experience is required. The role is suitable for early-career educators as well as seasoned professionals.
