Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III with advanced experience supporting metal fabrication and CNC production equipment, including laser cutting systems, CNC punching machines, and press brakes.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC lasers, CNC punching machines, and press brakes.
- Diagnose complex issues across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Minimize downtime through root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, basic PLC logic, and technical manuals.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and optimization of fabrication equipment.
- Serve as a senior technical resource on the production floor.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining metal fabrication equipment, including:
- Press brakes
- CNC laser machines
- CNC turret press equipment
- Combination laser/punch machines
- Experience with fabrication equipment brands such as TRUMPF, Amada, Toyokoki, and Diamond.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex equipment issues, including root cause analysis.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and emergency breakdown repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills for CMMS, maintenance tracking, and documentation.
- An associate or technical degree in a related field is preferred.

- Location: Bloomingdale, Illinois, United States
- Work arrangement: Onsite
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, first shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Work Environment and Physical Demands
The role involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration, occasional risk of electrical shock, and moderate to occasionally loud noise levels. Duties regularly require standing, sitting, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling objects, and talking or hearing. Occasional activities include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, color, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
