Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Services Manager leads teams that provide respiratory care services. This role identifies developments in respiratory equipment and recommends solutions to meet patient needs; develops, implements, and monitors respiratory care goals, objectives, and pulmonary standards; and oversees respiratory care services across multiple sites and/or a single site.

Essential Responsibilities

• Leadership and Talent Development: Provide development opportunities, coaching, and feedback; build collaborative, cross-functional relationships; and foster team collaboration and professional growth.
• Team Management: Translate business plans into tactical action items; oversee work assignments; set standards; resolve escalated issues; and remove obstacles affecting performance.
• Clinical Expertise: Implement clinical standards, protocols, and complex long-term projects based on current research; support evidence-based practice standards; and provide training across sites.
• Safety and Compliance: Coach teams to comply with federal, state, and local regulations; mitigate safety risks; and protect the confidentiality and security of patient and staff records.
• Operations Management: Manage personnel and equipment resources; streamline operations to support cost savings; analyze performance metrics; and contribute to strategic planning, staffing, budget, and performance discussions.
• Patient Care Practices: Oversee comprehensive patient assessments, care plan development, medication and procedure safety, patient advocacy, treatment modifications, and discharge processes.
• Service Quality Improvement: Manage projects that improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of therapy services; resolve complex service and care issues; drive data-informed process improvements; and support the development of new products and services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Health Care Administration, or a related field.
• At least seven (7) years of experience in respiratory therapy or a related field, including at least two (2) years in respiratory therapy.
• At least three (3) years of leadership experience, with or without direct reports.
• Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner License required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certificate required at hire.
