Manufacturing QA Technician I

Job Type: Contract

As a Quality Assurance Technician at our milk plant, you’ll help ensure the quality and safety of our products. Duties include inspecting raw materials, monitoring production processes, and performing tests to verify compliance with quality standards. You’ll document findings, report issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Schedule: 1st shift, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Must be available for overtime if needed.

Assignment details: This role provides leave-of-absence (LOA) coverage. The assignment may be extended; conversion to a full-time position is not specified.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in quality assurance or a similar role in food production preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Flexibility to work the specified shift and occasional weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished milk products.
• Inspect production processes regularly to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Monitor and document equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality-related issues promptly.
• Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as needed.
• Record and analyze data, and prepare reports on quality metrics.
• Help develop and execute quality improvement initiatives.
