Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and service motors, advanced hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, conveyor systems, production machinery, and related equipment.
- Perform welding as needed for maintenance and repair activities.
- Prepare new machines for operation according to established protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular technical testing to support machinery safety and efficiency.
- Collect and analyze machine-operation data to identify trends and recommend actions to reduce downtime.
- Create and manage work orders through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Apply advanced knowledge of production machinery and equipment.
Qualifications
- Two-year associate degree preferred.
- Two to four years of relevant work experience required.
- Ability to use a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, sit, bend, stoop, and perform manual-dexterity tasks.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment physical, including a baseline test requiring lifting at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
