Position: Mechanical Insulator
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials around pipes, ducts, tanks, and equipment.
- Install insulation using adhesives, bands, wire, and specialized fastening systems.
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine insulation requirements.
- Remove and replace damaged insulation during maintenance or repairs.
- Apply protective coverings such as metal jacketing and vapor barriers.
- Follow safety procedures while working in industrial facilities, commercial buildings, power plants, refineries, and construction sites.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a mechanical insulator.
- Ability to read construction drawings and use hand and power tools.
- High school diploma.
- Physical ability to climb, kneel, bend, lift materials, and work in confined spaces.
