<h3>MRI Technician</h3><p><strong>Location:</strong> Waterbury, Connecticut 06706<br><strong>Job type:</strong> Contract<br><strong>Department:</strong> MRI Tech<br><strong>Schedule:</strong> Tuesday–Saturday, 07:00–15:00 (5 days, 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week)<br><strong>Experience required:</strong> 2 years</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Prepare and position patients, and select appropriate anatomical and technical parameters to produce cross-sectional images.</li><li>Perform patient prescreening, scheduling, and education related to examinations.</li><li>Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images to magnetic media, and develop film using an automatic processor.</li><li>Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.</li><li>Submit high-quality images and documentation promptly to PACS, ensuring image quality, correct lead markers, and accurate patient data and history.</li><li>Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.</li><li>Help maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.</li></ul>
