Role Overview

As a Senior Manager in Communication Consulting, you will help organizations address workforce challenges by designing and implementing communication and change management strategies that support employee engagement, adoption, and organizational growth. This role supports initiatives including open enrollment, benefits and compensation programs, policy and process changes, technology implementations, and broader organizational transformations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop communication and change management strategies that support awareness, understanding, and adoption of organizational changes.
  • Develop communication plans for open enrollment, benefits, compensation, policy updates, process changes, technology implementations, and organizational transitions.
  • Conduct audience analysis, stakeholder mapping, and change impact assessments to inform messaging, communication channels, timing, and delivery.
  • Use AI and technology-enabled tools in communication and change management work.
  • Conduct editorial reviews, manage content, coordinate stakeholder reviews, and incorporate required edits.
  • Perform project management activities, including maintaining project plans, overseeing budgets, coordinating teams, facilitating client meetings, and managing vendors and printers.
  • Partner with clients to identify risks, dependencies, gaps, and barriers to adoption.
  • Support measurement of communication effectiveness and change adoption by gathering feedback, tracking progress, and recommending improvements.
  • Interact independently with clients, answer questions, and provide requested materials.
  • Coordinate across workstreams to manage dependencies, gaps, risks, and communication work plans.
  • Guide writers, graphic designers, analysts, and other resources to meet project standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, business, communication, journalism, human resources, or a related field.
  • At least seven years of experience in corporate communications and/or change management, including HR, compensation, benefits, retirement, policies, and organizational change; alternatively, five or more years of HR or communication consulting experience in a professional services firm.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including public speaking, editing, proofreading, composition, technical writing, and persuasive writing.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and project management skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent deadlines.

Preferred Experience

  • Communication and change management consulting experience in a professional services or consulting firm.
  • Experience developing communication strategies that support employee adoption of new programs, processes, policies, systems, or organizational changes.
  • Experience supporting open enrollment communications and broader HR or enterprise change initiatives.
