About the Opportunity

ForceV Technologies is hiring on behalf of a fast-growing AI company building a product in AI-native business intelligence.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the founding engineering team. This is a high-agency opportunity for an engineer who wants to work across the codebase and product while collaborating closely with engineers, product leaders, founders, and customers.

You’ll have significant ownership in building scalable data systems, solving complex backend challenges, and helping shape the engineering culture and technology stack as the company grows.

What You’ll Do

• Build and scale data pipelines for latency-critical analytical workloads.
• Work across the codebase and product rather than being limited to a single function or service.
• Partner directly with founders, product teams, engineers, and customers to help define the product and engineering roadmap.
• Design and build secure, cost-efficient, highly scalable systems on modern cloud infrastructure.
• Help shape engineering practices, technical standards, and the technology stack as the company scales.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and TypeScript.
• Proven experience building or working with large-scale data pipelines and latency-critical workloads.
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
• Experience working in a strong engineering culture with high-quality production systems.
• Strong ownership and ability to work across a product and codebase in a fast-paced, high-agency environment.
• Based in the Bay Area and able to work from the San Mateo office 4 days per week.

Technical Skills

Python; TypeScript; large-scale data pipelines; backend and distributed systems; scalable infrastructure; latency-critical analytical workloads; secure and cost-efficient system design.

Nice to Have

• Startup or fast-paced team experience.
• Experience with Rust.
• Background building data infrastructure or analytical systems at scale.

Interview Process

The interview process includes a technical screen followed by a four-round onsite interview covering technical assessments and culture fit. AI tools are not permitted during interviews.
