This individual-contributor role is based at a customer location. The Storeroom Attendant handles receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of customer and/or Vallen inventory while maintaining a professional, clean, and organized work environment.
Schedule and Assignment
First shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Occasional weekend overtime may be required. Training will take place on first shift for approximately 1–2 weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
This is a three-month temporary assignment, with potential for extension or conversion to a temporary-to-hire position if the internal situation changes.
Work Environment and Equipment
The role involves operating an aerial lift (up to 16 feet), stand-up and sit-down forklifts, and a golf cart to travel to other parts of the building on company grounds. Equipment experience is preferred. Steel-toe shoes are required. The warehouse is not climate-controlled and may be hot in summer and dusty. Dress is jeans or khakis; sweatpants and leggings are not permitted.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required. A U.S. passport or certified birth certificate with a raised seal must be presented on the first day.

- At least 3 months of relevant experience and/or training. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Relevant experience or aptitude, including loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse. Forklift or cherry-picker experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency, or demonstrated technical aptitude. Familiarity with MS Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, or Prophet 21 is preferred.
- Basic math skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, ability to work as part of a team and independently, attention to detail, and a safety-minded approach.
Responsibilities
- Unload, receive, and put away incoming products, goods, tools, and equipment; unpack containers; check for damage and discrepancies against invoices.
- Sort, label, move, and store items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, style, or product code, arranging storage to optimize crib space.
- Issue products, goods, tools, and equipment to site employees and maintain accurate records of items issued and returned.
- Enter and retrieve information in computerized systems to maintain stock records and respond to inventory or delivery inquiries. Document discrepancies and seek management guidance on corrective action.
- Request inventory replenishment, assist with inventory maintenance, perform cycle counts, and report results.
- Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects or wear and report issues to supervisors.
- Prepare periodic inventory records or maintain perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Deliver tools or equipment to associate work locations and locate lost or misplaced equipment or safety supplies.
- Repair, service, or lubricate tools and equipment as required.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
