Storeroom Attendant – Integrated Supply

About the Role

This is an individual contributor role located within a customer's facility. As the Storeroom Attendant for Integrated Supply, you will be responsible for managing daily inventory operations, including receiving, stocking, issuing, and performing cycle counts of customer and/or Vallen inventory. Maintaining a professional, clean, and organized work environment is essential.

Shift Details

  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Training: Initial training will be conducted on 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) until proficiency is achieved.
  • Overtime: Mandatory overtime may be required on Saturdays (estimated 50-70% of Saturdays). Notice will be provided by Thursday morning at the latest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload, receive, and put away incoming products, goods, tools, and equipment.
  • Verify incoming shipments against invoices, checking for damage and discrepancies.
  • Accurately sort, label, move, and store items according to established procedures.
  • Place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins, optimizing storage space.
  • Issue products, goods, tools, and equipment to site employees, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintain up-to-date stock records by entering data into a computerized system.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding inventory levels or delivery schedules.
  • Document inventory discrepancies and escalate to management for resolution.
  • Generate requisitions to replenish stock levels.
  • Assist with inventory control and perform regular cycle counts.
  • Inspect tools and equipment for defects and report any damage.
  • Prepare periodic inventory reports and maintain perpetual inventory records.
  • Deliver tools or equipment to employee work locations.
  • Investigate and locate lost or misplaced equipment or safety supplies.
  • Perform minor repairs, servicing, and lubrication of tools and equipment as needed.
  • Undertake other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 months of relevant experience and/or training.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Skills & Aptitude:

  • Experience with loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer proficiency or a demonstrated aptitude for learning new systems (experience with MS-Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, or Prophet 21 is a plus).
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division); ability to calculate rate, ratio, and percentages is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted; assistance is available for heavier items.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance regularly.
  • Required vision capabilities include close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., steel-toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses).
  • Adherence to a dress code requiring pants with belt loops and a t-shirt or polo shirt.
  • The work environment is climate-controlled.
