Storeroom Attendant

Job Type: Temporary contract (temp-to-hire possible)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

Position Summary

The Storeroom Attendant is an individual contributor working at a customer location to support daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of customer and/or company inventory. This role is responsible for maintaining a professional, clean, and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload, receive, and put away incoming products, goods, tools, and equipment; check for damage and discrepancies against invoices.
• Sort, label, move, and store items accurately on racks, shelves, or in bins.
• Issue products, goods, tools, and equipment to site employees; maintain accurate records of issued and returned items.
• Enter data into computerized systems to maintain up-to-date inventory records.
• Perform cycle counts, prepare reports, and maintain perpetual inventory records.
• Stock vending machines and point-of-use (POU) areas, including travel to a second plant several times per week (personal vehicle required for this travel).
• Assist with receiving and requisitions to replenish inventory.
• Investigate and locate lost or misplaced equipment.

Qualifications

• At least three months of relevant experience and/or training; a high school diploma is preferred but not required.
• Warehouse experience, including loading, unloading, picking, and packing; forklift experience is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; experience with MS Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, or Prophet 21 is preferred.
• Basic math, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted.
• Steel-toe or safety shoes are required.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and customer-service oriented.
• The facility is not air-conditioned and may become hot during the summer; water breaks and fans are provided.
• Forklift operation is not required for this role.
