Role Overview

The Supply Chain / Production Planner works in a manufacturing environment to coordinate material requirements, capacity, and production scheduling in response to customer demand. This role develops production schedules, monitors progress, manages inventory, and collaborates with procurement and logistics to help prevent shortages and support timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop weekly and monthly production plans and schedules aligned with sales forecasts and customer demand.
  • Analyze inventory levels to maintain appropriate stock, reduce excess inventory, and prevent shortages of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Use ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP or MES, to release manufacturing orders and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Coordinate with procurement to align material availability with production schedules.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules in response to maintenance, machine downtime, or changing demand.
  • Identify process-improvement opportunities to increase production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve key performance indicators, including on-time delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or plant supply chain environments.
  • Previous experience in the electronics field.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and proactive problem-solving skills.
