Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Systems Administrator IV to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our complex IT infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of various operating systems, network protocols, security best practices, and advanced troubleshooting techniques. The Systems Administrator IV will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our systems, as well as mentoring junior team members and contributing to strategic IT planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), and related software.
• Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implement and maintain system security measures, including access controls, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and user guides.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support business objectives and implement new technologies.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior systems administrators and IT support staff.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure system scalability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in network administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, CompTIA Network+, Security+) are highly desirable.
