Power BI Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Engineer to design, develop, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence, data visualization, reporting, and analytics, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and SQL. This role involves understanding business requirements, performing data analysis, optimizing BI solutions, and ensuring high-quality reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective BI solutions.
• Develop data models and optimized reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Create complex DAX calculations, measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
• Use Power Query/M for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and preparation.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and validation.
• Model data using appropriate relationships, dimensions, facts, and hierarchies.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI solutions.
• Optimize Power BI reports, datasets, queries, and data models for performance.
• Implement and manage Power BI datasets, reports, workspaces, and refresh schedules.
• Validate and reconcile data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Troubleshoot issues related to reports, datasets, data refreshes, and data sources.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, data engineers, and technology teams.
• Support the deployment and migration of Power BI reports across environments.
• Document reports, dashboards, datasets, data models, and processes.
• Support production issues and resolve BI and reporting problems in a timely manner.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, visualization, automation, and analytics capabilities.
