Position Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager for power distribution equipment, including MCCBs and ACBs, to provide technical ownership throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires a strong understanding of power equipment engineering and focuses on product reliability, quality management, failure analysis, and corrective-action development.
The Product Manager will serve as a technical liaison between Korea headquarters R&D and local engineering, production, and quality teams to support product performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Product Lifecycle and Technical Ownership
- Own and manage technical specifications and performance standards for power distribution equipment, including MCCBs and ACBs.
- Support consistent product quality across design, manufacturing, and field applications.
- Monitor product performance throughout the lifecycle and drive continuous-improvement initiatives.
Failure Analysis and Troubleshooting
- Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for product defects identified during manufacturing or in field and customer applications.
- Perform technical troubleshooting of product failures using engineering principles.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to identify failure mechanisms and corrective actions.
Quality Improvement and Corrective Actions
- Develop short- and long-term corrective and preventive action plans based on failure analysis.
- Drive quality-improvement implementation with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Verify and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Standardization and Documentation
- Establish and maintain documentation for failure cases, corrective actions, and improvement history.
- Drive standardization of quality-improvement processes and engineering practices.
- Support ongoing product-quality monitoring and preventive-quality initiatives.
Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration
- Act as a technical liaison between Korea headquarters R&D and local U.S. engineering and quality teams.
- Facilitate clear technical communication across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Support alignment between product design intent and manufacturing execution.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of power equipment design, structure, and operating principles, including MCCBs, ACBs, or similar equipment.
- Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical testing, such as continuity testing, insulation-resistance testing, and operational-performance testing.
- Strong engineering problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in cross-functional and multinational environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic engineering tools, including CAD and technical drawing interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in product engineering, R&D, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering within the power equipment or electrical manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, 8D reporting, and root-cause analysis methodologies.
- Experience with UL standards, such as UL 489 or UL 1066, and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience with manufacturing systems such as ERP, PLM, or MES.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Korean and English bilingual capability is preferred for direct collaboration with Korea headquarters R&D teams.
Additional Information
- Employment is contingent on successfully completing a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- The position includes approximately seven months of training in Korea, followed by relocation to Enoch, Utah, for full-time, long-term employment.
