Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Professional Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, architecture, or quantity surveying, with a proven track record in project management within the construction industry. This role requires a deep understanding of local and national government processes, risk management, budget control, and health & safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Develop and implement strategic pre-planning, risk management, and change management strategies, including effective performance evaluation processes.
• Oversee budget and cost control throughout the project duration.
• Ensure compliance with local and national government processes and procedures for project planning and implementation.
• Ensure adherence to Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Compliance Processes and Procedures.
• Utilize strong working knowledge of MS Office and project management tools to facilitate project execution.
• Liaise effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government officials.

Qualifications

• Skills: Project Management, Risk Management, Change Management, Budget Control, Cost Control, MS Office Suite, Project Management Software, Stakeholder Management, Contract Management, Health & Safety Compliance, Environmental Compliance.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying. Certificate for Development & Planning for Labour Intensive Construction Projects (NQF 7).
• Attributes: Strong leadership, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, strategic thinking.
