Professional Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate design teams, ensuring high-quality technical deliverables (calculations, drawings, schedules, reports) are produced within agreed timeframes and budgets.
• Apply sound knowledge of structural engineering principles, applicable design codes, regulations, and industry standards effectively across projects.
• Manage project responsibilities independently, demonstrating strong project ownership, accountability, commercial awareness, and client relationship management skills.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, contractors, and other project stakeholders both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist.
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience, with proven involvement in engineering design, project planning, and contract administration throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Strong technical experience in water and structural infrastructure, particularly bulk water reservoirs, water treatment facilities, stormwater systems, water-retaining structures, and reinforced concrete structures.
• Proficiency in MasterSeries or Prokon, as well as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with BIM and digital design platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Revit, AutoCAD) is advantageous.
• Must have own reliable vehicle and a valid Driver’s Licence.
