Job Summary

The Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer maintains and continuously improves quality management systems to support compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, safety regulations, and manufacturing quality objectives. This role partners with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to conduct audits, resolve quality issues, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations and compliance activities for ISO 9001, QC080000, and related quality standards.
  • Coordinate external ISO certification activities and collaborate with third-party certification organizations.
  • Lead UL safety audits and oversee ongoing product and process compliance.
  • Review ECR/ECO change requests, track implementation, and verify closure of required actions.
  • Conduct weekly ECO meetings to monitor progress, risks, and outstanding items.
  • Lead internal audits and management review meetings, ensuring findings are documented and addressed.
  • Support SCAR, 8D, QPA, customer, line qualification, ESD, and on-site audit activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis, analyze quality data, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
  • Promote Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and compliance excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, QC080000, UL safety standards, ESD compliance, internal auditing, 8D, SCAR, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality management systems. Proficiency with Minitab, quality management software, data analysis, and project coordination is preferred.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, manufacturing, or a related technical field is typically required.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of product engineering experience involving design, development, testing, and manufacturing processes, plus at least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Certifications: CQE and ISO Lead Auditor certifications are preferred.
  • Attributes: Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, organized, and committed to compliance and continuous improvement. Must be comfortable working in multicultural, cross-functional teams, with English as the primary language.
