Relationship Manager (HNWI/UHNWI Focus)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Relationship Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for cultivating and managing relationships with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI). You will be responsible for growing our client base, managing a significant portfolio, and exceeding revenue targets within the GCC, Europe, and US markets. Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with HNWI and UHNWI clients, understanding their unique financial needs and objectives.
- Proactively identify and acquire new clients, focusing on those with significant assets under management.
- Manage and grow a transferable book of business, demonstrating a proven track record of client retention and asset growth.
- Achieve and exceed ambitious revenue targets, aligned with the firm's growth objectives.
- Facilitate the transfer of client assets to our primary custodian, J.Safra Sarasin, and other partner banks (including Bank of Singapore, JP Morgan, BNP Paribas, Santander, Raiffeisen, Commercial Bank of Mauritius).
- Provide bespoke financial advice and solutions tailored to the complex needs of sophisticated clients.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client service and a seamless banking experience.
- Prepare and present comprehensive business plans, demonstrating strategic thinking and market insight.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Private Banker, Relationship Manager, or External Asset Manager (EAM) within a reputable private banking institution. (Support functions will not be considered).
- A demonstrable transferable book of HNWI/UHNWI clients with a minimum of USD 50 million in assets under management, transferable over a 1-2 year period.
- Client accounts primarily based in the GCC, Europe, or the US, with a willingness and ability to transfer assets to our European custodian.
- A strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and wealth management strategies relevant to international clients.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with high-profile individuals.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets, demonstrating experience with significant client transactions or portfolio sizes.
- Familiarity with international banking regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed business plans.
