Role Summary

Warehouse Associates are individual contributors responsible for warehouse activities involving incoming and outgoing goods. This role includes receiving, handling, storing, recording, picking, packing, loading, and dispatching products while maintaining accurate ERP system records.

This is a fast-paced, same-day shipping facility. The primary assignment is packing, and associates must be willing to rotate across warehouse functions as needed.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Shifts may range from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Mandatory overtime may be required.
• Rotating shifts, evening, weekend, and extended-hour work may be required based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and load outbound shipments according to production schedules, customer orders, work orders, and shipping instructions.
• Receive, unload, inspect, and put away incoming goods and merchandise.
• Check incoming and outgoing goods for damage, quantity discrepancies, and invoice or order accuracy.
• Sort, label, move, store, and organize inventory on racks, shelves, and bins.
• Pick, pack, prepare, and dispatch outgoing orders using paper or electronic pick sheets.
• Load trucks and secure freight using strapping, bracing, or padding as needed.
• Consolidate freight, verify shipping methods, and communicate oversize-load requirements to carriers.
• Use warehouse equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other machinery, as needed.
• Enter and maintain accurate inventory, shipment, discrepancy, and stock records in ERP and database systems, including SX.e.
• Assist with inventory maintenance and inventory counts.
• Use handheld RF scanners to locate and pick items.
• Follow warehouse safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Support other warehouse areas and complete other assigned duties.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant warehouse experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Experience or aptitude in warehouse activities such as loading, unloading, receiving, picking, packing, moving goods, and put-away.
• Forklift and/or cherry picker experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn warehouse systems; familiarity with MS Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, or Prophet 21 is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, safety awareness, attendance, and work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while remaining self-motivated.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Non-temperature-controlled warehouse; conditions may be hot during summer and noisy at times.
• Steel-toe shoes are required.
• Protective equipment, including gloves and eye protection, may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, or more with assistance and in accordance with safety procedures.
• Regular physical activity includes standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
• Ability to meet the job's vision requirements, including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• May need to obtain forklift and/or warehouse equipment certifications.

Workplace Policies

• Daily morning meetings are held to review the day's workload and address concerns.
• One earbud may be used for music or podcasts. Phone calls, visible phone screens, and use of two earbuds are not permitted.
• Attendance and break/lunch schedules are strictly enforced, with a five-minute grace period before an employee is considered late.
