Text Situated Alignment Specialist – Mid-Cost

Role overview

We are seeking subject matter experts in psychology, social work, counseling, qualitative research, HCI, communication, conflict resolution, coaching, or related advisory fields to support AI conversation evaluation research. You will review conversations between participants and AI models, assess whether sufficient context was gathered before recommendations were made, identify missed opportunities for clarification, and provide structured feedback to improve conversational quality.

Responsibilities

• Review AI conversations involving real-world interpersonal and everyday decision-making scenarios.
• Identify missing context and recommend relevant follow-up questions.
• Evaluate whether additional information would have changed the AI’s recommendations.
• Distinguish critical (“load-bearing”) information from non-essential information.
• Conduct qualitative reviews and document findings using structured evaluation guidelines.
• Collaborate with research teams to ensure consistent, high-quality assessments.

Qualifications

Candidates must have 3–5 years of direct practice and relevant qualifications or professional experience in at least one of these areas:

• Social work: MSW or equivalent graduate qualification; LCSW, LICSW, LMSW, or equivalent credential; and experience with client assessment, case review, interviewing, counseling, or related practice.
• Counseling, therapy, or psychology: MA/MS with LMFT, LPC, LCPC, or equivalent credential; or PhD/PsyD in clinical, counseling, social, or industrial-organizational psychology. Relevant experience may include counseling, therapy, psychological assessment, interviewing, or case review.
• Qualitative research, HCI, or communication: MA/PhD or equivalent advanced expertise in HCI, communication, anthropology, sociology, qualitative research, or a related discipline, with experience in qualitative research, interviews, user research, conversation analysis, thematic analysis, or qualitative coding.
• Mediation, coaching, student services, organizational consulting, or related advisory fields: Relevant professional qualification, credential, or demonstrated subject-matter expertise, with substantial direct advisory or client-facing experience.

Candidates must be based in Latin America, Southeastern Europe, Asia, or Africa. Preferred experience includes eliciting context when information is incomplete; considering personal, social, financial, and practical factors; qualitative coding or structured case review; and identifying missed opportunities for clarification.

Engagement details

• Contractor assignment; no medical or paid leave.
• Full-time commitment: 40 hours per week.
• Short-term, pay-per-task project lasting approximately 3 weeks.
• Estimated start date: October 1.
• Approximate average handling time: 75 minutes per task.
• Rate information: $30 per task; partner fee listed as a flat $125.
• 35 positions for the Mid-Cost geography tier.
