UAT Support
Department: Product / Quality Location: Accra / Hybrid Employment type: Full-time
About the Role
We are looking for a UAT Support professional to ensure new systems and features align with business operations before they go live. In this role, you will translate requirements into user scenarios, manage UAT cycles with end-users, track sign-offs, and identify discrepancies between the product and operational reality. This is a product and business-focused position, not a software engineering role, and does not involve building automation suites.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements and processes into UAT scenarios and acceptance criteria using business terminology.
- Plan and coordinate UAT cycles with business users, product, and delivery teams.
- Facilitate UAT sessions, document results, and track defects through retesting and sign-off.
- Identify gaps between the developed product and the actual workflows of operations, customer care, or other business units.
- Maintain UAT evidence, ensuring traceability from requirements to scenarios to results, and manage sign-off records.
- Support the training of business testers and super-users during UAT.
- Report UAT status, blockers, and residual risks to product and programme leads.
- Collaborate with the QA Lead and Test Engineers to ensure UAT does not duplicate automated regression testing.
- Gather user feedback during UAT and relay it to the product team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2+ years of experience in UAT, business analysis, operations support, or a similar business-testing role.
- Ability to work effectively with non-technical users and bridge communication between business and delivery teams.
- Proven experience in writing acceptance criteria or user scenarios.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and sign-off tools such as Jira.
Nice to have: SQL for data validation, process mapping skills, or domain experience in telecommunications/operations. Not required: Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
